Gulf Coast HEAT comes up short despite Steven Scott's strong performance

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Gulf Coast HEAT, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 80-66 fall against the King on Tuesday. Gulf Coast HEAT was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southwest Florida Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Gulf Coast HEAT still got an impressive performance from Steven Scott, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Scott is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Westin Lacey, who scored 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Gulf Coast HEAT's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Gulf Coast HEAT does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Evangelical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
