Indianapolis Shortridge came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.

Indianapolis Shortridge's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Shortridge will take on Park Tudor at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they will square off against Purdue Polytechnic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves are facing the Techies at the right time seeing as the Techies are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
