Baseball Recap: South Warren's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

South Warren dropped their record down to 17-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins at home. They fell 11-7 to the Adair County Indians. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Spartans, who until this match were averaging 3.88 runs allowed.

Camden Page made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Griffin Rardin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one double.

As for Adair County, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games.

On Adair County's side, Aiden Smith was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Kemp, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

South Warren has already played their next game (against Daviess County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Adair County, they will venture away from home to challenge Russell County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
