Baseball Game Preview: Pacific Grove Breakers vs. Alisal Trojans

For the second straight game, Pacific Grove will face off against Alisal. The Breakers will head out to face off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Pacific Grove has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pacific Grove and Alisal meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Breakers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-1.

Pacific Grove got a good showing from Rowen Meyer, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Meyer has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Alisal, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
