Faith Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Westover Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m.
Faith Christian Academy is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Friday. They fell 7-4 to Temple Christian.

Andrew Ploetner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Chase Orendorf and Aaron Keesee stepped up to the plate in a big way. Orendorf scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Keesee scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Westover Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Timberlake Christian last Friday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Tornadoes.
Colt Cromy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6.5 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Chase Jordan was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Elijah Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Westover Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timberlake Christian only managed five hits.
The victory got Westover Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Faith Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Faith Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Westover Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Faith Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 15-1 loss they got from Westover Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March. Can Faith Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
