Kenton Ridge got themselves on the board against Graham Local on Friday, but Graham Local never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Falcons. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won 12 games in a row.

The result came thanks to Jake Beard's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kenton Ridge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nic Stumpf, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Stumpf has posted over his last nine matches. Another was Zach Deel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Kenton Ridge pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Graham Local, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
