Baseball Recap: Winston County Comes Up Short

Winston County was the 6-5 winner over Good Hope when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets fell 13-10 to the Raiders on Tuesday. Yellowjackets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Tuesday.

Winston County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Good Hope, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

Winston County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Good Hope, they will face off against Madison County at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
