Baseball Recap: Skowhegan's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

While Skowhegan's victory against Lawrence wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The River Hawks skirted past the Bulldogs 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the River Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Silas Tibbetts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trevor Austin, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Skowhegan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Skowhegan's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Lawrence, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Skowhegan will welcome Lewiston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrence, they will venture away from home to square off against Gardiner at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
