Preview: Scripps Ranch vs. Fallbrook
The Scripps Ranch Falcons will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Fallbrook Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Scripps Ranch had to settle for a 4-3 defeat against Crawford. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Scripps Ranch came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Crawford is ranked 774th).
Ian Armstrong and
Nate Bottomly did their best for Scripps Ranch and scored all three of Scripps Ranch's goals. The pair have combined for a total of ten so far this season.
Meanwhile, Fallbrook's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Poway by a score of 1-0. Fallbrook has not had much luck with Poway recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-8. As for Fallbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.
