Volleyball Recap: Fuquay - Varina Comes Up Short

Fuquay - Varina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Apex Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bengals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-27, 25-7.

Fuquay - Varina's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Apex, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Fuquay - Varina will head out on the road to take on Athens Drive at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apex, they will challenge Cary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
