Jenna Schlueter and Brianna Dean made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Schlueter pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. At the plate, Schlueter went 3-for-4 with four runs and three RBI, while Dean went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Schlueter a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kylie Kistle was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Hailey Delong was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Chester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, while Los Molinos put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Redding Christian. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 13-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Addison Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Natalie Martinez and Paige Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Williams went 2-for-3 with four runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Prather, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Chester's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Los Molinos, their win bumped their record up to 19-5-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chester has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Los Molinos struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
