Softball Recap: Grandview's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grandview put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Granger Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-12 on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Aaliyah Hernandez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyndsey Padgham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Granger, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Grandview will head out to take on Sunnyside at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Granger, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Tri-Cities Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
