Volleyball Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. West Stokes Wildcats
The Forbush Falcons will take on the West Stokes Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.
Forbush is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering East Surry just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0.
Forbush was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

Despite their defeat, Forbush saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Karly Berrier, who had 16 digs and three assists, was perhaps the best of all. Berrier is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Tatum Cranford also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Meanwhile, West Stokes lost 3-0 to North Surry on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
West Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Forbush, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
