Softball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Triumphs

While Bald Eagle Area put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Bellefonte. The Eagles walked away with a 5-0 win over the Raiders. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Sierra Albright, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Bellefonte off the board. Albright has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Bald Eagle Area let Maelee Yoder and Sydney Thompson run wild. Yoder went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Thompson went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bald Eagle Area's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bellefonte, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Bald Eagle Area will host Clearfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bellefonte, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Bishop McCort on the 23rd.
