Preview: Burns Hilanders vs. Banks Braves
The Burns Hilanders will head out on the road to face off against the Banks Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Burns never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Umatilla at home. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Burns had established a 35 point advantage.
Meanwhile, Banks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Warrenton on the road to the tune of 42-8. Given Banks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Warrenton is ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashton Crossen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory (which was Burns' third in a row) raised their record to 4-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.67 points. As for Banks, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
