Recap: South Pasadena Tigers vs. Los Osos Grizzlies
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the South Pasadena Tigers can now relate to. They fell just short of Los Osos by a score of 30-27. South Pasadena's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, South Pasadena still got an impressive performance from Jason Hong, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Hong is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Cruz, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Mason Overacker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 165 yards and a touchdown.
South Pasadena's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Los Osos, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
South Pasadena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Osos will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Kaiser is ranked 301st, while Los Osos is ranked 285th).
