Recap: Central Falcons vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede
The Central Falcons lost against the Paul W. Bryant Stampede back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central wound up with the same score they had in their last game (45-42), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have not had much luck with Paul W. Bryant recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Loss or not, Central got some senior leadership from Jakhiya Smith who scored 13 points along with five steals and Aaliyah Golston who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Golston scored a full 40.5% of Central's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Paul W. Bryant, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Central will take on Oxford in a holiday battle at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at. Oxford is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Paul W. Bryant's road trip will continue as they head out to face Briarwood Christian at 11:00 a.m. on December 18th.
