Softball Recap: Delone Catholic Comes Up Short

Delone Catholic couldn't beat Biglerville on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Squires fell just short of the Canners by a score of 7-6. The Squires haven't had much luck with the Canners recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Grace Hewitt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season.

Delone Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Biglerville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Delone Catholic will take on rival York Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Biglerville is set to face off against their familiar foe Fairfield at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
