Softball Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. East Bay Indians

The Freedom Patriots will head out to face off against the East Bay Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Freedom has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Freedom came up short against Armwood on Thursday, falling 16-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, East Bay lost 18-3 to Plant on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was Nelson's first of the season.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for East Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Freedom might still be hurting after the 21-0 loss they got from East Bay in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Freedom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
