Soccer Recap: Wharton Takes a Loss

Wharton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the El Campo Ricebirds. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 5-0 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for El Campo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-2.

Wharton will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Campo, they will host Palacios at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Campo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
