Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Faith Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Miners took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Miners' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Bishop Manogue's defeat dropped their record down to 28-7. As for Reno, their loss dropped their record down to 25-14.
