Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Christian Academy Beats Wilmington Christian Academy for Their Third Straight Win

Hillsboro Christian Academy had won two straight games and Jonah Brannon did his part to make it three on Friday. Everything went the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders' way against the Wilmington Christian Academy Blazers as the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders made off with a 73-52 victory thanks in part to Brannon, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Hayden Tong, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Hillsboro Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Hillsboro Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 90-29 defeat against CHESS Christian on the 25th. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Bible Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
