Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Edgewood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lakota West Firebirds by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Firebirds earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Edgewood's offense was headlined by Hayden Gardner and Kolby Duello, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Dylan Miller and his 21 assists. Bryston Robinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Lakota West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Edgewood has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Holy Cross on the 12th. As for Lakota West, they are taking a road trip to challenge Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
