Basketball Game Preview: Dekaney Wildcats vs. Spring Lions

Dekaney is 0-10 against Spring since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dekaney Wildcats duke it out with the Spring Lions at 7:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Last Friday, Dekaney came up short against Stratford and fell 33-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1202nd, while the Spartans are ranked 486th).

Meanwhile, Spring unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 56-23 defeat at the hands of Montgomery. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Spring's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Dekaney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
