Basketball Game Preview: Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles vs. Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes

The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles will head out to square off against the Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Dayspring Christian Academy came up short against Lyons and fell 56-45. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bishop Machebeuf entered their tilt with Front Range Christian on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They claimed a resounding 94-36 win over the Falcons. Given the Buffaloes' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Falcons are ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Machebeuf pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Dayspring Christian Academy took a serious blow against Bishop Machebeuf when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 74-37. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dayspring Christian Academy was down 41-18.
