Baseball Recap: Make It 16 in a Row for Northern Burlington

Northern Burlington strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Burlington Township Falcons with a sharp 13-5 win. Considering the Greyhounds have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Northern Burlington pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Burlington Township, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Northern Burlington will challenge West Deptford at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Greyhounds 1.2, the Eagles 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Burlington Township, they will square off against Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
