Softball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Concord Christian

While Grace Christian Academy put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Concord Christian. The Rams blew past the Lions 17-0. Considering the Rams have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooke Million looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Katherine Mullins was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Malone, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Grace Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Grace Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Concord Christian, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian Academy will challenge King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concord Christian, they will head out to challenge Christian Academy of Knoxville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
