Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Academy Eagles vs. North River Christian Chargers

The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles will take on the North River Christian Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Heritage Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Coosa Valley Academy last Tuesday as Heritage Christian Academy made off with a 64-40 victory. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 20 point advantage.

Holden Knott was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Nugent, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, North River Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Tuesday as they fell 74-69 to Hope Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (56), the Chargers still had to take the loss.

North River Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.
