Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Victorious

There's no place like home for Legacy Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over the Wylie Prep Academy Patriots on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Wylie Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Emily True, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. True is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Remey Cunniff, who posted six points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Legacy Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Wylie Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Hockaday at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dallas Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
