Basketball Recap: New Berlin Takes a Loss

New Berlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 52-42 to the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints. While losing is never fun, the Pretzels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Saints are ranked 152nd).

New Berlin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Berlin will head out to take on Williamsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they will take on Rantoul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
