Football Recap: North Haven Takes a Loss

North Haven lost against Notre Dame back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nighthawks took a blow against the Green Knights, falling 42-14. The Nighthawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Despite the defeat, North Haven saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Artie McCormack IV rushed for 107 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. McCormack IV's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards.

Leading Notre Dame to victory were Joe Capasso and Luke Miklos. Capasso rushed for 109 yards and three TDs, while Miklos rushed for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Miklos is now averaging an impressive 103.8 rushing yards per game. Tristan Robinson also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Notre Dame, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

North Haven and Notre Dame will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Nighthawks see the field they'll take on Sheehan at 6:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Notre Dame, their break will end when they face Wilbur Cross at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
