Softball Recap: Chesapeake Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chesapeake couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arundel Wildcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Arundel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Chesapeake by a score of 5-2 later that day.
