Recap: Jackson Ironman/Ironladies vs. Miami Trace Panthers

The Jackson Ironman/Ironladies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-32 margin over Miami Trace. Jackson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Jackson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenzie Davis out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. T.j. Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Jackson's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Miami Trace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Jackson will be playing in front of their home fans against Nelsonville-York at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nelsonville-York will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Jackson is ranked 94th). As for Miami Trace, they will head out on the road to challenge Meadowdale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meadowdale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Miami Trace likes a good challenge.
