Recap: Academy of Richmond County Musketeers vs. Salem Seminoles

The Academy of Richmond County Musketeers posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 47-20 victory over Salem. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Academy of Richmond County.

Academy of Richmond County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amari Butler out in front who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of NaCja Johnson, who scored 13 points.

Academy of Richmond County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Salem, they bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Richmond County will take on Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Morgan County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. Salem won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cross Creek at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Cross Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
