Baseball Recap: Rowe Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Rowe made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Palmview, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Rowe blew past Palmview 8-2 on Tuesday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 9-2 win the Lobos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

JC Garza Jr. made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Matthew Garza was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Zavier Garcia was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Rowe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

Rowe is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Palmview's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Rowe will have a chance to go back-to-back against Palmview: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
