Volleyball Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chula Vista Spartans.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chula Vista, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Monarch will square off against Bonsall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch is facing Bonsall at the right time seeing as Bonsall is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Chula Vista, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Imperial on the 22nd.
