When it comes to explaining why Fuqua lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Minix. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 64% of Fuqua's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fuqua has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Cumberland, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
