Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Providence Prep Rams, falling 73-37. The loss continues a trend for St. Mary's in their matchups with Providence Prep: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's still got an impressive performance from Ty Zimmerhanzel, who posted 20 points. The game was Zimmerhanzel's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kolbe Barta, who earned eight points.

St. Mary's now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Providence Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-19 defeat against Grace Academy on the 14th. Providence Prep has also already played their next matchup, a 60-19 victory against Methodist Children's Home on the 14th.
