Dieterich and Casey-Westfield squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dieterich had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4. The Movin Maroons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Jaxon Funneman was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Dieterich's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Casey-Westfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season.
