Volleyball Recap: Mead Mavericks vs. Bayfield Wolverines        
        
		
             After losing to Bayfield the last time they met, Mead decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mead Mavericks were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over the Bayfield Wolverines on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
 While Mead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17,  25-21.
  Alana Costello was the offensive standout of the  contest as she  had eight  digs.
 Mead  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least nine  aces in four consecutive  matches.
 Mead has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 14 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season. As for Bayfield,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 12-8 record.
 Mead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  defeat against Grandview on the 1st. Bayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
