Softball Recap: Chase Comes Up Short

The Chase Trojans came up short against the West Springfield Spartans on Monday and fell 7-3.

Montana Honeycutt was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Chase's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for West Springfield, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chase will welcome Polk County at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for West Springfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
