Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Victorious

Altoona-Midway won the last time they faced Yates Center, and William Stackhouse did his part to make sure it happened again. The Altoona-Midway Jets walked away with a 48-40 win over the Yates Center Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 27 times he's played.

The victory got Altoona-Midway back to even at 3-3. As for Yates Center, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway will host Southern Coffey County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Yates Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chetopa on Tuesday. Yates Center is facing Chetopa at the right time seeing as Chetopa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
