Volleyball Recap: Paraclete Takes a Loss

If Paraclete was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bishop Amat last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spirits fell just short of the La Salle Lancers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Paraclete took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 17-15.

Paraclete's loss dropped their record down to 14-16-1. As for La Salle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Paraclete will head out on the road to square off against Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Salle, they will challenge Taft at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
