Powell County is 9-1 against Menifee County since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pirates will host the Wildcats  at 6:00  p.m. Powell County has given up an average of 10.7  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

They walked away with  a   13-8  win over Burgin  on Saturday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
The team  relied heavily on  Aubrey Golden, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Harper Brown, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Menifee County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  contests.
 Menifee County's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Powell County, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-6.
Wednesday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Powell County hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Menifee County struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
