Decatur faced Leon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Decatur had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Decatur's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Leon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-3.

Decatur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Glen Rose on the 23rd. As for Leon, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
