Basketball Recap: Eupora Comes Up Short

Eupora suffered their closest loss since November 7, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the J.Z. George Jaguars by a score of 61-58. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 67-58.

Eupora's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for J.Z. George, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eupora will host Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.Z. George, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the J.Z. George Jaguars duke it out with the Delta Streets Academy Lions at 10:20 a.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (J.Z. George has won three straight at home, while Delta Streets Academy won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
