Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Carlisle Indians

The Franklin Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Carlisle Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Franklin has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Carlisle will arrive with three straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin duked it out with Edgewood on Wednesday. The Wildcats took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Franklin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Eyink, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Carlisle nor Brookville made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Indians came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 5-2. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since May 8, 2023.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Carlisle, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
