Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mayfair). They were the clear victors by a 28-5 margin over the Firebaugh Falcons on Wednesday. With that victory, the Monsoons brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Mayfair got a massive performance out of Nolan Fox, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Fox a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Uffman, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Mayfair always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .653. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mayfair is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Firebaugh, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Mayfair will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
