Football Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Seneca's offense. They took a blow against the North East Grape Pickers on Friday, falling 41-0. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Bobcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bryson Galloway had an outrageously good game for North East as he rushed for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 137 yards and two TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Galloway a new career-high in passer rating (151.9). Another player making a difference was Ethen Ringer, who rushed for 82 yards and one score.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North East, their record is now 2-0.

Seneca and North East will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bobcats will challenge rival Union City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, North East is set to square off against their familiar foe Harbor Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
