Football Recap: Somerville Wins Going Away Against Hillside

Somerville won the last time they faced Hillside and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers strolled past the Comets with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Aidan Vesuvio-Bush produced another solid performance rushing for 109 yards and one score. Shyheim Hobbs-Harris was in the mix as well, providing Somerville with one touchdown.

Somerville's record is now 4-1. As for Hillside, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Somerville will venture away from home to challenge Summit at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Pioneers 13, the Hilltoppers 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Hillside, they will head out on the road to take on Roselle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Comets will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
